I have used this product for around 3 years without any lag or software problems. MacOS is a unique operating system with functionality above windows and resources optimization far better than any other operating system. Once you use this product you will never go back to windows that's my guarantee, you fell in love with the zero lag, zero hang, and 100% performance at your keystrokes. You never have to wait for a window for load up, or wait for a movie to start after you double-click the icon.
In other words, if you want a fast and reliable laptop, there is nothing compared to a Macbook. If you want a lighter version you can go with MacBook Air, or a professional version then with Macbook Pro. Both give the same level of professionalism in your tasks. I personally use it for developing softwares in different languages and have never faced any issue till date.
