Unforunately, we had to visit the Apollo Hospitals during our recent
visit to India for Consultations.
We visited your hospital in Goa and Bangalore. Both were horrible
experiences. We found that most of the senior specialist Consultants
are local famous doctors who are enrolled on Commission basis. They
are not employed by you. This is not at all a healthy practice.
Why should a patient visit Apollo to meet this doctor when he can be
met at his Private clinic at a fraction of the cost.
In both the places the doctors were more interested in knowing where we
are from and what is the nature of our employment, what is our mother
tongue. All irrelevant questions. May be they were trying to get maximum
information so that depending on our capacity to pay they would exploit us.
THe Staff at your OPD in the basement of Bangalore Hospital were very rude.
Moreover we had to wait both for the Specialist and the GP. The Specialist
arrived late to work and the GP was taking rounds in the Hospital.
When we pay a huge amount as Consultation fees we expect the Doctors to
attend to us in a dignified manner.
Kindly issue instructions to all your Doctors not to ask personal questions
about the patients/visitors profession etc. unless until itis related to the
illness.
The Doctor in Goa prescribed a Medicine which reacted but he was not willing
to accept the fact that it was his mistake.
The Super Specialist Doctor in Bangalore spoke of a very effective medicine
and prescribed the same medicine which my GP in a town had already given me.
Now that you are on a expansion spree around the Globe you need to take precautions about all these matters.
