My mother was recently admitted for a knee replacement surgery.the consultant was good and answered all our questions.But the nurses there were an amazement. all newly recruited hardly understanding hindi or english ..forget Bengali. If u call for giving bedpan to the patient. They will make faces.The room was a big one with an old TV , a dirty couch and a patient's bed for which they charged 5700/- per day.
Atrocious!!! And the diet...save me. My poor mom could barely eat atlast I had to get home cooked food for her. She was given only papaya curry which was nothing but papaya pieces in water.And the dietician was behaving as though thats what all patient's should have...water with little turmeric, no salt...no spices.you will find 10 people coming each day to ask ur feedback but doing anything for the same. Moreover 1 doctor came to do my mom's dressing.he had 10 rings on his 10 fingers. Tobacco stained teeth and wore no gloves while dressing.Thank god ..the junior consultant did a repeat dressing!! So go to apollo if u have no other choice..like your health scheme or your consultant is attached there .And be prepared to stay back to take care of your patients.u can't leave them at the mercy of those nurses for duty doctors were never to be seen inspite of repated complaints.Do not know the noise about APOLLO. Highly overrated and pathetic in terms of service.
