I had the worst possible personal experience here, so let me state a few things about this hospital. I actually typed this out as a reply to their own PR exercise, and then I thought I might as well post it additionally as my own review.

This hospital is good for fair weather situations. If there is no complication(normally there isn't as pregnancy is a process designed by God), this place will look like heaven. You have your baby in your arms, nurses will be all coochy-coo around you and your baby, good hotel style room and service etc. In short, gift wrapped experience for the labouring lady. God help you if you have a complication. Judge for yourself:

  • They don’t have a labour ward. They just have two rooms where they receive you when you are in labour and then pack you off to a suite so that they can start charging room rent. They must have thought why not make more money while the woman is dilating?

  • There is no constant monitoring. The labouring woman is made to wear a doppler heart beat belt(which is not connected to any central monitoring or alert system) and left to her own devices in the suite. You have to constantly summon the nurses to get them to check you

  • They don’t have ultrasound scan machines in the labour rooms. They don’t have even portable ones available at hand. This was primarily why we lost our baby at this hospital. Due to sheer laziness they did not do a scan. Had they done that, they would have found that my baby was wearing the cord, and they would’ve done a c-section.

  • Visit the place at night(you won’t go into labour conveniently during business hours). The place looks dead. No emergency process exists

  • You may have faith in your main doctor, but be sure that doctor will not able available when you need them the most. There will be only one sleepy eyed duty doctor who is so incompetent(if competent, they would have put them in day duty to make consultation fees) that she will not be even be able to brief your main doctor properly

I know this review / rating will not change anything, and you will still go there and put your baby at risk. You will like to believe all the positive ratings while ignoring negative ones, it's the nature of our species. My only request - keep your wits about you for the sake of your baby. Observe that this place is about money first(notice the abnormally high number of walk-ins, compare prices for equivalent services, see the pay first then talk policy), so do not expect them to perform any voluntary service. Expect them to be thinly staffed at off hours to save money. Expect them to be lackadaisical about hygiene(nurses walk into the labour room wearing their regular chappal). Read up everything that is there on the net about delivering baby and be ready as you cannot expect them to have the best doctor on duty.

It's your duty to deliver the baby and nurture it well once you conceive it. These unlettered paid-degree quacks are like crocodiles in calm water. Your vigilance will save your baby. All the best.
