I would like narrate the worst experience I faced with the Apollo Clinic, JP Nagar 7th Phase, Bangalore.


I took my parents to the Apollo Clinic(No. 33, Om Tower, Gaurav Nagar, Kothnurdinne Main


Road, JP Nagar 7th Phase, Bangalore - 560 078)f or the Health check up on 23rd Oct


2010.


We were the first few people to enter around 7.30AM. I enrolled my father to the heart package for Rs 4000/- and enrolled my mother for the master health check up, Rs 2750.


Diagnostic process started and around 12.00PM, I was told that Cardiologist will not be available today and my father has to take the Echo test on Monday. I informed that he cannot come on week days and I asked for the refund. With dilly dallying they agreed to shift his package from Heart package to executive health package that excludes the ECHO & cardiac.


TMT test was conducted in the absence of cardilogist by unskilled person.


Other tests were going on and at the end we were told that Radiologist is not available and we were told to come at 5.30PM. Accordingly we reported at 5.30PM. We were waiting almost 2 hrs without


anybody's botheration. Co - ordinator did not take the file. He was allowing the people who came after us to go for ultrasound. Repeated reminders did not change his attitude. Some people who were speaking in Malayalam were easily given entry.


Here my parents were suffering with their bladder full as they were made to drink lot of water before scanning.


After questioning co-ordinator finally he allowed my father for scanning and later my


mother went for Gynecologist. During this time, suddenly there was power cut. I was shocked to see that Appolo clinic does not have either UPS or generator. I was sitting in dark in the lobby and my mother told me that gynec. examined her with help of mobile phone light and spoke few words and left.


After this, my mother had to wait another hour to get her turn for Ultrasound scanning. She complained couple of times about the pain as the bladder was full.


We waited until she got her turn. She was the last person to undergo scanning. After she entered Radiologist, she was again made to sit inside, as the Radiologist was busy in generating the


reports of the previous people. Meantime, I took my father to the last phase for consulting physician. We found that morning reports were not ready(7.30PM). Then the employess were running up & down and got the reports in next 15 minutes.


When we went to meet the physician( UP person), he was asking us what he has to do? Then we showed the report, he did not even look at those report with interest. He said everything is normal and nothing to worry. He could not point the problem my father is having from past few years which is clear in the report. He appeared to be in hurry up to leave. We came out quickly and went to see my


mother.


She was still in scanning room, she came out after half an hour and revelaed


that she was just waiting inside the room as Radiologist was busy in generating


the report of past people.


Finally after finishing this we went to physicain who was in annoying mood as he was waiting until my mother came. He just finished glancing at the report and said everything all right.


I know what problems my parents are having from past several years and it is evident from the reports too. This doctor did not even had patience to see the reports which have been generated with so many people efforts and my money. I felt all this in drain.


Finally we went to reception to collect the blue file, we found that X-Ray report of my father was still lying there and physician completed the consultation without even seeing that report.


In all the staff were very callous towards customers. There was no proper


co-ordination. Neither Doctors nor any of the staff had the name badge and no


uniform and there were many violations.


These people are minting money in the systematic setup.
