Yet another hard hitting film by Prakash Jha.This time on the successful kidnapping industry of Bihar.

How does he manage to make films that have a social context attached to it & yet is non judgemental is something that our other movie makers can learn.

A young guy(Ajay Devgan) leading a pretty normal life & preparing for the IPS.....most youngsters in Bihar prepare for IAS OR IPS...gets caught in a web of murder, kidnapping etc & is helped by friends , the police & politicians along the way.

A time comes when he realises that the politician (Tabrez Alam...done fantastically by Nana Pataekar) he helps or with whom he works basically is only interested in money & power & even does not hesitate to kill the hero when he poses a threat to him.

Tabrez Alam as Nana Patekar & Ajay Devgan as Ajay Shastri give superlative performances.Mohan Agashe as Ajay Devgan's father gives a controlled performance as he generally does, one person who is completely wasted is Bipasha Basu.....who does not have much of a role to play in the movie probably because of jthe setting or story line.

The movie is best watched in a big screen & those who go for masala movies should avoid this.
