The film revolves around two phases of human life in today's scenario. First, the length of influence of politics and bureaucracy on the life of general public in BIHAR and secondly, the importance of being "truthful","devoted" and "committed" to one's values and traditions.
The film has beautifully potraited all the characters with full amount of justice to each one of them. Ajay devgan's father, a man of strong principles and values, has brought up his son under his tall presence. However, ajay sees that he would have to kill those values and principles in order to survive for himself. Joining the low level society's ritual, Ajay becomes the most sought-out gangster in Bihar.
The presence and importance of media has its equal importance in the film. lastly, with the help of a godfather figure (Nana patekar) Ajay becomes abreast with all the socially wrong doings which were camouflaged by being said "Its allah's work"......
The film, does, put the minority section of muslim in a dark shadow but then it justifies that all of them are not the same...Since theres this muslim police fellow who fights with the organization to maintain dignity and trust on the police department and the full clan.......Theres a small presence of a broken relationship between Bipasha and Ajay..and thank God!!! it doesnt extend any further........
The best performance, undoubtedly, goes to Nana Patekar and Ajay devgan but actors like Bips and the periferial cannot be ignored. Each actor has performed to his zenith and given full justice to the plot and real subject-matter of the film...
