This film tells an unoriginal story in an original way it makes u feel like you have never seen anything like what happened. What I mean the film brings a fresh, new and real perspective to a stale story. This film deals with real issues not only in politics but in our personal lives. It deals real political issues such as the extent some people would go for power and how they fail to justify the faith the people have in them. What differentiates this film from other political films is that it tells its story with original characters, believable people that could easily be your father of uncle, like the character of Tabrez Alam was very real and believable because he is not a loco psycho like most bad guys are prone to be in movies, he is just a normal guy who prays five times daily and fights for the fate he believes in but inside he is a power hungry freak.

This film is set around the Muslim minority group, how some selfish leaders use their power for purely selfish reasons and while some other leaders fight for their people with the last drop blood in their. The film is about Ajay Devgan’s character who is the son of a fearless and good minority leader who is revered and respected by all. Ajay’s mother had died when he was a kid leaving only he and his father instead of this drawing them together it pulls them apart because Ajay’s father was unable to show his love to his son and since the natural love giver in the family, the mother had died Ajay grew up in a household without love. Ajay keeps getting passed over for is dream job which is being a cop probably because he wouldn’t give bribes but this was the last year he qualified age wise. Ajay was thrown into an inner turmoil he was desperate to get the job this year. Bipasha basu his love interest in the film tries to dissuade him from trying to give a bribe and go against everything his father ever stood for. But in the end he decides to give a bribe so as to ensure his acceptance, he borrows money from local hoods in exchange for police friendship. His bribe accepted and position ensured he and his friends had started celebrating with is friends when his father decided to petition the police for accepting bribes, people tried to reason with him but to no avail and Ajay was told that unless he could reason with his father to at least delay the petition, Ajay tried but his father would not sacrifice his ideals for anything even for his only son. This drove a huge wedge between father and son .the loan sharks start to put pressure on Ajay to pay their and even threaten to kill his father. In a desperate bid to save his fathers life Ajay decides to kidnap a man and pay with the ransom. Unfortunately the man he kidnaps is under the protection of the boss of the kidnapping racket. The boss arranges it and Ajay is arrested and brought to jail. His father refuses to even help him this destroys their relationship finally. Ajay turns away the girl that loves and tells her to go on and leave him alone. In prison Ajay is beaten up by the boss and forced to lick his saliva. That night his sense of morality snaps and he promises to help a corrupt cop kill the boss who was starting to disrespect the cop. He kills the boss and gets out of jail, he then goes to the overall boss and talks his way into the position of the boss. he works his way up the ladder and soon became a trusted advisor of the boss. when the boss is arrested and put in prison which was no jail but more like a second home Ajay is giving control. He takes the kidnapping and their other shady deals to a whole new level he took them to great heights. Perhaps it was power that got to his head but he was totally unforgiving anybody who crossed him had to die. He got to big for his boots and became disrespectful so the big boss decided to do away with him. An elaborate plan was implemented but he discovered at the last minute and then escapes. He confesses to the cops but the superiors compromised with the big boss and made him a minister which was his ultimate aim. On his last night he spends the night at his fathers and they both for the first time show their emotions and their feelings for each other. On the next day when the big boss visits him he kills him with a gun provided by police and he himself killed by the big boss’s men.

The aspect of the film that I enjoyed the most is the series of uncontrollable events that led him into crime, there was nothing he could do to stop it only to never have tried it.

Ajay Devgan gave an excellent performance in the film he clearly shows the transition from the not so innocent cop wannabe to the hardened criminal he later becomes. On the whole this is a film about real people and real issues and I definitely recommend it for everyone
