A MUST SEE. Review on Anniyan Movie

The human mind is a real wonder. The world it creates for itself is intriguing and awe-inspiring. Its complexity has ever puzzled man and still does the same. No wonder it has fallen prey to film-makers of the past and present. If once it were the' Psycho' sequels and then desi ones like Manichitrathazhu,Shesham in malayalam and such others in regional languages; here comes the mother of them all. Yes the split personality funda attracts more than a few people because of its uniqueness and queer nature. Moreover no college student wants to miss a Vikram movie. The idea of transforming the nation and integrating it as a civic whole is a cinematic passe. But this movie has brought the theme alive with an incredible beauty unavailable elsewhere. The music is excellant. Stunt scenes though a bit 'over' suits the flow of the film.You cannot say that the stunts are unmatched but yet there is class written all over it. Vikram has performed exceptionally and his performance is matched by white skinned Sada. The comedy element is unmistakable. But what might be termed the most powerful element of the storyline is its persistent loudspeaking - calling out to our citizens that it is time for them to act. It is true that Japan and Singapore rose to epic glory in the span of a few years thanx to the untiring efforts of its citizens. We have to make such an India, the filmmaker says through Anniyan. Remo does his role beautifully only to disappear as his role loses its place in the story's fabric.. The one thing that shall remain in mind is the elegance with which Anniyan learned to live with the changed circumstances. The last scene offers more light to a bright story.
