I did not know, I will be privileged to write review on this class novel written by tolstoy. I read this novel three decades back, and now the question that comes, does it exist same voltage for the current computer age, my answr for this is firm yes.To compare tolstoy to any other authors, I dont think any author upto this day can stand anywhere near to tolstoy because let me disclose what tolstoy has written. He has written three great novels, 1 war and peace, this is on napolean, and his defeat against british. 2 Anna karenina the review I am writing now, 3 Resurrection a tragic romance novel, that will haunt u till the end of ur life.those who have felt on resurrection will never be the same person in their life.
TOLSTOYS WRITING STYLE IN ANNA KARENINA. Tolstoy in this novel anna karenina, moment the reader holds is gripped and behaves like a boy seeking for his life partner, that means our mind and heart seek for this beautiful anna karenina, where is she, how she looks like, mentally our mind asks for bring anna karenina fast, and tolstoy brings her so slowly after few pages the reader turns, inspite of crave to feel for anna karenina, the reader has so much patience to from the start, where in the story starts from anna kareninas brother who is cheating his wife.anna karenina is called to mediate between her brother and his wife to settle the issue.as soon anna karenina enters our mind feels current feelings as if she makes us so charged by her very presence.our eyes follow the foot steps of her from her glamours personality.
Tolstoy has not described how she looks like, how tall she is, her colour or anything else but the reader feels it more than one hundred percent.Tolstoy makes the reader to feel each happenings in the novel as if he can feel it fully.the main aspect in this novel is anna karenina is not happy in her eight years of married life.she has a son, who is eight years old, she is fond of him but her love for vrnosky a high ranking military officer, and vrnosky being engaged to dora breaks from dora and dora suffers a lot, here we are not bothered on dora though she is very pretty, our heart and mind throughout the novel is just with anna karenina.
Hundreds of pages are written on levin who is a elite land lord, but the picture of anna karenina haunts us throughout.the reader hates vronosky, because we fall in love with anna karenina, our mind and heart tells she should stay with her husband no matter whether she finds happiness or not, the depth of feelings of our romance on anna karenina can be felt only by reader. This novel is really world class, a novel to keep in book shelf.to compare this book one novel comes to me near to this anna karenina that is woman of rome, but tolstoy level so far no one has come may be we talk of jane Austen, pearl s buck, D, H, Lawrence.
Lastly one should read this novel at least once in his or her life.time or space is not enough to write more but I like to write second review because anna karenina or any of tolstoys novel cant be written in one review at all, tolstoy was far superior in life to his writings,
