Ankur happens to be one of the few places in SoBo that serve authentic Mangalorean cuisine. Since this part of the city has more of a cosmopolitan crowd, it’s a little difficult to find a restaurant dedicated to the Mangalorean food lovers.
Till the recent past, I had been staying at Malad where there are many of them, given the fact that there’s a lot of Catholic crowd from that part of the country. However, I was a little skeptic about finding any in this part of the city. But then, this one actually made my day. Nowadays, everytime I miss my home food, I am headed here. Adding on to the bliss, is the fact that they have an excellent bar menu too, unlike other Mangalorean cuisine restaurants. You know, its always a good idea to end your meal with a drink after a whole day’s work stress.
Moving on, there are a lot of options in the food and the bar menu to pick from and they are good at the most economic Mangalorean restaurants I’ve come across in Mumbai till date. If there’s any other around, do let me know guys.
