Reading the gists of all the reviews that have been written in this section, I have come to notice that it has taken Dan Brown's 4th work to deliver him fame. ''The Da Vinci Code'' has triggered a backward trend sending all readers into trailing his novels backwards. People have purchased all his other works and find them interesting solely due to the fact that they read ''The Da Vinci Code'' first. I am no exception to two rules in this case.
First- I was definately fascinated by the Da Vinci Code & Second- I chose ''Angels & Demons'' because it claimed it was a prequel to ''The Da Vici Code''.
Honest enough to be I am not writing this review to patronize or criticize his works.
''Angels & Demons'' is definately a well narrated fiction of carefully researched facts.
I would term this work in my words as ''factual fiction''. The writing styles have the attirbutes of Prof.Langdon's wisdom and the story-telling qualities of Dan Brown intricately woven into a fine masterpiece of art. You cannot tell apart who one is. Either side of the coin you will find them inseparable.
I have come across many books in the historical thriller genre-one which deals with factual deceit and plots of murder but this book borders between the fact and fiction. Dan Brown through ''Angels & Demons'' has definately opened a door to his readers by explaining each and every moment/item/procedure/plot that runs from the first page till the very end like a general knowledge book. Moreover he has added trivial information that has been shown either in pictures or through texts on his web site.
''Angels & Demons'' is an entertaining book which educates as well as thrills the reader. A worthy read on long journeys. Definately not outstanding as compared to ''The Da Vinci Code'' but has a mark of its own. This book is certainly not a prequel to ''The Da Vinci Code''. It is actually Prof.Langdon's debut adventure in the literary universe.
Well I hope to see more of Prof.Langdon and his adventures as time passes by.
