Angels and Demons was the first mystery book written by author Dan Brown. I liked
it and enjoyed it and felt like writing my review on this book. To solve a murder
mystery, who do you call? Probably, Police, Homicide squad. If it is an important
personalty, crime petrol department and CID will be involved. Leonardo Vetra was
very important to CERN but the police was not involved. The Director General of this
facility Mr. Maximilian Kohler, did not report this murder to police. He knew if the
police was involved there will be big investigation of CERN and there be a great
publicity.
Dan Brown, the author convincingly, created a character of world renowned
Harvard Symbologist, Mr. Robert Langdon. This character you will find in his other
book The Da Vinci Code. He is shrewd, intelligent and not afraid of taking risk.
The author has done good research work. I may say he is excellent in his home
work. I have been to Vatican, the paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci, are as good
as if these were painted today. Probably Leonardo had lot of spare time on his
hands with a devotion to religious work. The author takes us back 400 years.
The question is who is powerful? The Catholic church, Scientists and or the
under ground organization with the name ''Illuminati''. This organization wants
to destroy the Vatican and disrupt the appointment of new POPE on the eve of
holy ''Conclave''. I think humanity with Love and affection is more powerful than
any thing in this world. Even tremendous wealth cannot buy health and peace
in family and in the world.
ROBERT LANGDON: He lives in a beautiful city Boston. He is aked to travel
to Geneva, Switzerland. He had no choice. Mr. Maximilian Kohler was very much
demanding person. He travels the distance of 3000 miles in less than an hour.
(Halfway the world) including the time of take off and landing. I think I can be
in India in 2 hours. Meet my friends and relatives. eat lunch or dinner and come
back.
MAXIMILIAN KOHLER: He is the director general of CERN and was also known
as King. He is a dedicated man to Pure Science. He was on the wheel chair
and ruled this organization.
CERN: Conseil Europeen Pour La Recherche Nucleaire. Translated in English
as Nuclear Research Centers. We hear these days talk about nuclear countries.
Who is going to finish Whom?.
LEONARDO VETRA. He is the Physicist and devoted person to this organization.
His daughter works with him. Most of the secrets of this Lab no body knows.
Even the director general is not aware of them.
VITTORIA VETRA: She is the daughter of Dr. Leonardo Vetra. She is a Bio
Entanglment Physcist. She is tall with long tall hair. Now doubt about it she
looks like an Italian. She is a strict Vegetarian and Cern's resident Guru of hath
yoga.
ANTIMATTER: This is missing from the CERN Lab. The group who stole this
Antimatter, killed Leonardo Vetra. Leonardo Vetra's eye was a kind of password
scan through the electronic instruments. His one eye was missing. This group
left the sign ''Illuminati''
ILLUMINATI: This is an old Organization. This group like to take vendetta against
the Catholic Church. Vendetta never solves any problem. This reminds of some
organization at the present time in this world. PEACE only can make friends.
Lets you exchange ideas and cultures, and lets you make progress.
CAMERLENGO: He is an assistant to POPE. Infact he is incharge of everythings
in the vatican. He only has key to POPE's bedroom. He has the key to the
Vatican Library. No body can go into the Library. Robert Langdon and Ms
Vittoria Vetra managed to go the library with the permission of Camerlengo,
to unsolve some of the secrets.
Now the Antimatter is in the Vatican. Antimatter is Nuclear Time bomb.
It has 24 hours to survive. After that it will explode and will take away
the Vatican with all the Cardinals. Next evening is the time to elect the
New POPE, on the eve of holy CONCLAVE. Four senior and important cardinals
are missing. Illuminati will kill these cardinals separately at separate palaces to kill
with Fire, Air, Earth and Water. Robert Langdon's and Ms Vetra's job is to find the
Antimatter within 24 hours and find out the places where these Cardinals will
be killed. Very very interesting. Robert Langdon and Ms Vetra left Geneva
to Rome in the jet and they are there in few minutes. Mr. Kohler was
supposed to go but he stayed back due to health problems.
Now what Robert Landon and Ms Vetra do to find out the Antimatter,
I think I will leave it the readers to read and enjoy the book.
I only can write here that they did find out the ''antimatter'' the
nuclear atom bomb and vatican was saved.
