No offense, I've read all the Dan Brown novels, and this is one of those really slow, beating around the bush novels. The story starts with a murder (classic Dan Brown style). Robert Langdon, a famous symbologist is called in for his services on the investigation. It sounds just like Da-vinci Code but Dan Brown had to call in the Illuminati. Dan Brown that the Illuminati is an organisation consisting of some of the brilliant minds in the world.
A New World Order. Check out https://conspiracyarchive.com/ for more details. I find that he didn't do his research well enough. He made the Illuminati look like a bunch of cooligans. The incorporation of technology advancements was a fascinating read. The concept of Anti-matter weapon. That was interesting. The plot of have an Anti-matter weapon destroying centuries of Christian records and architecture.Abolishing a pinacle of Christian belief. That was good to read. But still, there are no need for the Illuminati to destroy the Vatican, they had to merely take over it.
The story moved very slowly . Boring period.
