I had been very recently to this resturant as a part of our team building exercise at my office. This was for the first time, I was visiting this place and as usually had high expectations, as this is restaurant at a 3* hotel in the heart of the city, especially known for its eateries.
The only thing I liked about this entire place was the lobby of the hotel (I had walked quite a bit in the hot May sun to reach this restaurant, from the place I had parked my car) and the lobby provided me with some very cool air from the AC. The receptionist guided me to the 4th floor and my night mare began. I entered (or should I say exit) the restaurant which is actually a place which is covered with cheap shamiyana. May heat and shamiyana were a perfect combination to start off a disaster lunch. I was one of the last guys to arrive the restaurant quickly picked up my plate to make up for being late and not miss any food. I tasted a few pani puris and then proceeded towards the starters. There weren't much variety. Some Gobi, a mix of long chillies, l' finger and few more vegetables fried up live. That was the only starter from the veg. section.
Well, after munching them, I proceeded towards the main course, which ended just a couple of feet from where it started. 3 Veg curries, 3 Non Veg curries, 1 veg and 1 non-veg rice. Empty salad plates, which were refilled. May be the day before. Bread was provided upon order at the table. Not a huge choice either. I could only order either a Roti or a Nan. That's IT!!! No need to say, they were pathetic and cold by the time it arrived at my table, for which I spent an anxious 10 minutes!!!
Thankfully, my team was a good sport... We tried to enjoy the meal by talking all the funny movements we had at work the previous week (that was the only thing good about the entire meal!!!) and also tried to laugh at ourselves for selecting this place and cheered up by giving the food some sarcastic remarks!!!
At last, not the least. We were blown off when the bill arrived. It was a few rupees over Rs.420/- per person!!! Well, could we do anything after we ate, but pay the bill?
Ambience: Pathetic! Zero cooling devices close to the tables
Food: Pathetic again! Zero for the taste and Double Zero for the variety
Quality: Need less to say... Zero.
Cleanliness: I had to change my glass twice. Once, the glass wasn't clean. Second time, I found a fly floating in the water.
Customer Service: I had to request to serve me with water 3 times before it was actually done and wait for close to 15 min with the curry in my plate for the bread to arrive
