I have shopped many times in Angadi and all my shopping experiences have been uneventful where I bought sarees which were priced in the range of Rs. 4000 to Rs.15000. The staff seemed to have been happy all the while. But today to my bad luck, I decided to buy a saree which ranges around Rs. 2000, however I had a few specifications with regard to the texture and design about which I was expressive with my family members, not with the sales lady. I did not bring any pressure on the staff to show me only the sarees which I had in my mind. Nor did I interact with them about my opinion about sarees. But the sales person got so restless and started to crib about the entire transaction. she even went and complained to her colleagues about our preferences within the first 10 minutes since we started to look for sarees. They dont have patience even in the early hours of morning. And they seem to have lot of headweight when they deal with the customers who look for sarees at reasonable prices. Within the first 15 minutes, the lady says to her colleague that she cannot show any more sarees. However another staff member brought some more sarees and we continued to look through. But she did not allow me to comment or express my opinion on any of the sarees she was showing resulting in an argument with her. Ultimatley, we ended up buying two sarees(a big compromise, of course) and at the billing counter, when I complained about her to the staff, they seemed to be so indifferent to my total shock. They did not utter a word. They dont know to pacify the customer by saying a simple sorry. Nor did they show any interest in what passed through. The entire experience was disgusting due to the dirty attitutde of the staff. This will be my last visit to Angadi. I suggest everyone not to go to the second floor in the show room where the staff is very very lethargic and reluctant to satisfy the customers.
