When you walk into Andhra Bank Branch in KK Nagar Chennai, you will be looked at as if you have come to rob the bank. You will get answers for your questions but most of it would be a no or sent back. ATM out of service, printer not working, need to wait etc are the general comments from the staff. As a techie I still struggled to get new password online, how about a middle-class? - who are the main customer for the banks in India.

Newspapers said, India's rank jumps 23 places to 77 in World Bank's Ease of doing business but I certainly disagree when I can see people struggle to do business with the new rules and laws in place. Banks struggle to operate with the RBI pressure, IT Companies struggle with the taxation and US Immigration laws.

I have my Current Accounts for the period of 8 years in the same branch. I have availed a home loan with the bank and I'm paying my monthly installment without fail for the past one year but I had some overdue accumulated before that period due to a communication gap between the bank and myself. I have not even availed the balance Rs 1 Lac from the home loan since I have not yet received the completion certificate. I have not received any statement of accounts or any other communication regarding my Home Loan from the bank for the past 3 years.

Now the bank's Branch Manager Mrs. Ramalaxmi called me a month back saying that they have sent a notice to my house 2 months back for the possession and someone has signed and collected it. But it has gone to my old house address where I lived 4 years back and one of the security must have collected it. When she called I have requested her to send me the same by email at least, but she refused. Even after requesting her almost 3 times whenever she calls for the payment in the last 30 days, she said it is not possible. I even paid three installments in October 2018.

Now they have put up an Auction Notice on my property where they will auction it in a week's time. I feel this is ridiculous, threatening, inhuman and you have created a scene that I need to sell that property because of the disgrace in the neighborhood.

Whenever the Branch Manager or the Zonal Manager calls they say that this issue is not in their hands, so where should I go? To the press, to the court?

I have availed a loan of Rs 28 lakhs for a property which is worth Rs 60 lakhs at present. The Branch Manager responds saying that they will Auction it for a value where they can get to cover the Loan amount, that's enough.

I feel the real value of customer service has become null in Andhra Bank and it should be similar in most of the banks in India I assume. Understanding the Customer is the meaning of Customer Service and I deeply ashamed of the attitude the so-called Bank Managers show it to its customers in the name of RBI & CIBIL.
