Hello Mouthshut!. Review on Amul Butter

Hi there! I am a special invitee by your friend Maddy. He wanted to put up a review on Amul Butter, and thought that I was the right person to write it. So here I am, as a special favour to my fat friend!

Don't remember me? Oh...I am the girl who has been the leading model for Amul butter. The girl in the short skirt, who winks at you through all those hoardings of Amul Butter you all love! I am more famous as the utterly butterly girl.

A BIT ABOUT ME

I was born in 1967, when I first met all of you. Created by Sylvester daCunha, I was meant to bring down the popularity of some Polson Butter girl. And I did it in style, thanks to the tremendous response I got from all you fans. I rode into your lives on a cute little horse(Yeah, that was my first ad), with the simple title Thoroughbred. My fans took a liking for my big eyes, polka dotted frock and the red and white bowtie. Thanks to your love, I am all set to enter the Guinness Records for the longest running campaign of the world.

But you know what I feel was my biggest scoring point to make it to your heart? I feel it was my sense of humour. Though sometimes this sense rubbed some people the wrong way, I have had some of my targets actually calling me up to appreciate it. Like M.F.Hussain, whose catch line simply said- Heroine Addiction. Heh heh!

A BIT ABOUT MY AMUL

A-haa! It has been 30 odd years and still my Amul butter makes me all lovey-dovey. Amul butter is one of the many products of GCMMF(Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation). Other than butter, our organization also gives you cheese, cottage cheese, milk, ghee, softy mix, kulfi mix, gulabjamuns, ice-creams, chocolates, Shrikhand and many many more products. But let me not steer away from the review's topic. (Damn it, Maddy, I know I am supposed to write on the butter).

So, what do I talk about my Amul Butter? Okay...first the technicalities. Amul butter's consumers are spread over the world, chiefly in the Africa, Singapore, US and some Gulf countries. Yeah...Bush or Saddam...all love Amul! (Couldn't control myself from that catch line). For the records, we have received the APEDA Award for Excellence in Exports for the 8th consecutive year.

Amul Butter has three main ingredients- butter, salt and natural colour Annatto. Looking at my health, you can understand that it is a bit fattening. On an average, every 100 gms of butter you eat gives you 720 kcal. For calorie conscious people, we do have Amul Lite Bread Spread.

MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS ON MY BRAND

I feel that Amul Butter is indeed one of the best butters of the world. And I am not saying this just because it is my brand. I have a huge fan following to vouch for it. Maddy dear is just one of them! (He asked me to add that!)

The butter has just the right amount of salt needed to give you that taste...the taste you love so much. Be it sandwiches, toast, or that yummy paav bhaaji that mummy makes! A dash of Amul makes it even more yummier.

The name Amul is derived from the Sanskrit word Amulya, and means Priceless. And priceless it is! You will savour the taste! Another catch line- Priceless at less price! Sigh! Old habits die hard!

Amul is available at all outlets in two forms- the 100gms pack and the 500 gms pack. The 100 gms pack is priced at Rs.13, while the 500gms pack is for Rs.63. Now, don't you think it is a steal?
