I am not saying because I personally belongs near to Amritsar.
Well I would like to share my experience with you when I was there, I completed my graduation there and really I would say its awesome city in terms of food, visiting places, shopping anything .
The best part of the city is "Golden Temple" only one word WOW!
Well I wont talk about history here that who made this holly place and when? But I will mention few things about Golden temple
-Golden Temple is the holiest Sikh Gurduara in the city and the one of the big attraction for the tourists all around the world.Every day almost around 1 Lakh people come to this place for worship.This is also define the unity of people all around the world .
-There are four entrance gate in the gurduara which also define there is no difference between the peoples who belongs to others religions any one can come and worship for the holly God .
-Around More than lakh peoples getting food day and night and sitting in same row either you are rich or you are poor that is also define the Humanity and Equality .

- Jalianwala Bagh
Jalianwala Bagh also very famous visiting place in amritsar .
The History behind this is involving the killing of hundreds of Indian civilians on the orders of a senior British military officer, Reginald Edward Harry Dyer, took place on 13 April 1919 in the heart of Amritsar, the holiest city of the Sikhs, on a day sacred to them as the birth anniversary of the Khalsa(Vaisakhi day).
- Durgiana Temple
The Durgiana Temple, also known by other names of Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Durga Tirath and Sitla Mandir, is a premier Hindu temple of Punjab(India) situated in the city of Amritsar. Though a Hindu temple, its architecture is similar to the Golden Temple of Sikh religion. This temple derives its name from the Goddess Durga, the chief Goddess deified and worshipped here.
- Wagha Border
Wagah is a village situated near a road border crossing, goods transit terminal and a railway station between Pakistan and India, and lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar, Punjab, India, and Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
The border is located 24 kilometres(15 mi) from Lahore and 32 kilometres(20 mi) from Amritsar. It is also 3 kilometres(1.9 mi) from the bordering village of Attari.
