Amitabh Bachchan's popularity with the classes and the masses seems to deteriorate with the number of ad endorsements he is doing -by the day.
He sure did prove to be a hit on television with 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' but he hasn't stopped just there. We soon saw him on commercials for polio drops(which I agree is for a cause),Cadburys',Maruti Versa, Glucon-D, Hajmola, Pepsi, Chawanprash, Navratan oil, Paints( Asian paints was it?), Tide..You name it.
Phew! Are people really buying the products just because he is promoting them? Not to leave behind our own SRK.Do these celebrities actually believe in the products they endorse/promote/campaign for?In the beginning it used to be ''Oh!Check out Big B in that ad!''.Now it is -''God!What on earth is he doing in this ad..Does he realise what a laughing stock he has made of himself....''
Maybe its just for the sheer sake of the big bucks that come easily with these ads but its about time Big B realised that his ad endorsements are nothing but making a mockery of himself and not a crowd-puller from any angle!Even my maid realises and remarks-''Oh,he's there in every other ad!''. So, its not just the classes, the masses too feel he is overdoing it.
I must add-his acting or talent is undoubtedly awesome, no second thoughts about that, but his ad campaigns are just getting out of control.
