Okay so I am kind of American desi to in some ways that the movie has shown..but I know how to pronounce NAAN and I love Indian music and movies. May be I don't like some indian food..but that doesn't really makes me a american desi.
Anyways like I was saying> Its a movie about Krishna (Kris) who is Indian- born and raised here in america who hates everything indian. The movie starts off with him going off to college and he has an american friend ERIC who luvs to get money from Indian adults b/c he always touches their toes and they give him money!! <---thats very funny to see! :)
He goes to college and ends up getting rooms with 3 Indians -1-Jagit singh (he is nice and understanding), 2- salim (who thinks that girl born/raised in america (THATs me) r bad news) and then there is Ajay who acts like a Black Boy not like an indian guy....anyways what happens between them is funny!
Kris falls in love with Nina who is totally indian...
Nina has a indian friend who is a desi indian -rakesh
who is jeolous of kris b/c he knows that nina is falling love with Kris too. After the interval Kris realises that he is indian and then the movie at the end is like a regular bollywood movie -good guy fights bad guy and the good guy gets the girl!
TRUST ME THIS MOVIE IS REALLY FUNNY & I have to admit that movie does shows some indian things to extreme BUT in a funny way!
The cast is wonderful and the director deserves somekind of an award -for the movie was a low budget New York based movie!
But the sad part was that the movie was too short for me it was like about an hour and a half movie!!
