When you are looking for VR Headset, you can always buy a cheap cardboard version for Rs.200 to Rs.800. The price is mostly dependent on quality of Lenses used.
If you have decided to buy plastic version there are 2 most important things to consider which a cardboard-version cannot offer:
IPD(Inter Pupillary Distance) adjusters: Distance between 2 eyes can vary for each individual person, and this VR headset has adjustable knob to change distance between 2 lenses.
FOV(Field of View) adjuster: The observable environment around the mobile screen thru lenses. The wider the field of view, the more present you will feel in the experience. Watching a movie or playing a game in VR both need different FOV for comfortable viewing. This headset has a knob to vary distance between lenses and phone screen.
People with prescription spectacles(Short Sighted) can also use FOV adjuster to use VR headset without Specs. I don't have exact specification on this VR-headset, but those who have corrective-power upto -2 might be able to use this bare eyes.
There are certain other parameters you should judge this class of VR Headset on:
-> Build quality: Headset is lightweight and good quality. I didn't find it weighing my head to discomfort.
-> Mobile holder clamps: I was easily able to push phone left-right for adjusting view.(Though the holder clamps are bit clumsy)
-> Lenses Quality: Good.(Though I couldn't find any information on lenses brand and specification)
-> Strap and Pad quality: The face padding is soft and comfortable. The Velcro is also very fine quality.
-> NFC: No. Not much of important but would have been nice if it was there.
-> Fit most phones: Tested with iPhone 6, few android devices, all fit nicely.
Biggest miss in this product:
(UPDATE: Seller in now sending free Magnetic Clipper with this product)
This VR headset came without Magnetic Button, which makes it's pretty much useless with Google-Cardboad App and other major VR-Apps on app store.
This remained in box for more then 10 days till I could arrange a magnetic button:(
Imagine a new laptop with no keyboard, That's how much a magnetic button is important for a VR Headset.
