As a long time Amazon Prime member who spends thousands of dollars on Amazon every year, I am in disbelief not only with my most recent purchase but how they have responded ( or chosen not to respond) as well as rejecting my review on their website. My recent purchase of the Bissell 86T3/86T3Q Big Green Deep Cleaning Professional Grade Carpet Cleaner Machine - Disappointed in pricing and customer service for this product!
Bought this for $399. Less than 14 days later, the price was dropped to $349. I reached out to Amazon and they said if I wanted to get it at the new price, they would send me shipping labels but I would have to package it back up and send it back, wait for refund and then re-order! I said that defies common sense! It would save both of us time and money if you just applied a credit to my account for the difference instead of requiring all that red tape. Amazon denied my request.
Additionally, when I asked for the head of Customer Service contact information, the Amazon rep told me, and I quote, to google it! I emailed the VP of Customer Service, but my complaint was forwarded to another person, who apparently has no title and no reply email address who said they were sorry, they
weren't going to do anything, and that they won't be able to comment further on this matter. It is not worth my time or energy to get the $50, but on big ticket items, I'm definitely going to buy from stores that will do credits or adjustments within 14 days of purchase without these ridiculous policies which are more costly to both parties.
