Amazon is an E-commerce website where you can get any product at reasonable rate.
Amazon is my first option while shopping online because of its reputation and fast services . Amazon offers prime membership which gives 100% discount on shipping charges and mostly delivers within 1-2 days. Prime members also get free shipping if the product is prime product and it costs less than 500 Rs, if a non prime member buys a product less than 500 Rs then he has to pay shipping charges. It also gives access to Prime video, which is a service like Netfix .
The website is well developed, easily navigable.
Customer service:
1) Amazon is very good at handling their customers . They are very polite and do solve customer's problem.
I purchased a dress material via amazon for my sister's birthday, the product was delivered before the ETA. Packaging was good. I opened the package and found that there where black strains on the dress material. Then I called amazon customer care and talked with the customer services agent . He took my review and mailed me the return slip and also refunded me by amazon credits, he also told me that a complaint was registered against the seller. Then next day there pickup man came and took the product with him. I was very happy with the prompt service.
Product Quality:
1) I ordered many things from amazon including pc parts, clothes, electronics, mobile and tablet, health supplements, pc games and software. Every time the product I received was in their best quality with no damage. Only one time I got faulty product that was a dress material as mentioned above. But amazon customer care solved it very quick. And I believe it was not amazon's mistake, the seller tried to sell me defected piece.
You can expect your product to be in very good quality if you order from amazon.
Delivery Timeliness:
1) As said earlier, they are very quick with the deliveries. Before I was prime member, my ETA was around 3-5 working days but then also amazon delivered it to me within 2 days. And after prime membership, I get everything within 1-2 days without any extra shipping charges.
App:
1) APP:- Amazon app is good without any bug or crashes. The layout of the app is very simple and one can easily browse and purchase any product.
Note: Android AMAZON APP eats battery a lot . It is not well optimized.
Reliability:
Amazon is very reliable and safe. They ensure better product with good aftermarket service for genuine issues.
While purchasing a product just read the reviews of the seller(and also the product). A seller who is rated below 3.5 should not be considered according to me. I did a mistake a choose a seller below 3.5 rating and the product was damaged.(read the above review for details) but here amazon came in and refunded me the entire amount within a day of complaint.
NOTE: If you buy any product online please try to record the unboxing/unpacking of the product to use in case of wrong/faulty/no product. If you suspect something unusual like weight of the package is low or it seems more heavy than it should be, try to open it in front of delivery person with camera turned on.
And while handling cash on delivery count the cash in front of delivery boy and don't distract yourself while he is counting the money.
This is my personal advice not only for amazon customers but for all online shoppers.
