Will keep my review as short as possible. I have made~15 purchases from amazon.in and my experience is very good so far.


Amazon fulfilled items are shipped very quickly and packed well. Orders fulfilled directly from the sellers were considerably slow in terms of shipping time and delivery but it was still within acceptable timeframe for delivery(15days).


They don't offer discount coupons like ebay and snapdeal but amazon fulfilled items can get as much as 33% cheaper than their list price. So its advised to keep checking the(amazon fulfilled) item you're planning to buy for atleast a week and see if amazon slashes their price.(most of my purchases were done this way, got atleast 30% discount in most of them)


Would highly recommend Amazon.in to everyone.


EDIT: my 1st bad experience, hence REDUCING ONE STAR from this review.


Their was a wrong picture of a product at their site, I had reported this to them 4 months ago and mentioned it in their review page as well but they didn't changed it. I assumed that its nothing to worry about as correct name and specs is mentioned in the details sections and only pic of the item is wrong, so I went ahead and ordered it via cash on delivery (first time I went for cash and delivery at amazon all my previous purchases were done with debit card).


Got wrong product delivered to me(product whose picture was displayed in their listing, not the one which was mentioned in title and description). anyways I requested a return and kept waiting for the courier to pick the package up.It took them 20 days to arrange a pickup and another 15 days to issue a cheque for the refund amount. Its been 14 days since they issued a refund cheque and I still haven't got it. that is~50 days since I had opened return request.


It will take another month for them to refund my amount since they have issued the cheque in the name of my landlord(the name, as displayed in the address)


So I will have to write them for cancellation of this cheque(when its delivered, assuming it actually will) and request a new cheque with my name as payee on it.


I don't know why they can't refund to customer's bank account directly by asking the customer about his bank account details. Snapdeal's cash on delivery refund policy is a lot better then amazon. they directly refund back to customer's account. The only issue with them is their terrible customer care department, amazon is better in terms of customer care dept.


So I would say avoid cash on delivery at amazon.


EDIT 2: somehow, Blue Dart, which always delivers to my address, even the products purchased from amazon, DIDN'T delivered the cheque to me. according to them, they couldn't locate my address. Really? I mean how can they locate and deliver the products I order from Amazon but not the cheque issued by Amazon?


still waiting for the replacement cheque to be issued by Amazon (its been 50 days since I issued the return request)!
