I regularly purchase from Amazon.in. I had good deliveries. Issue happened when my family had gone home for vacation.
Amazon last mile delivery is not integrated. Delivery guy phone no is not sent in the message. Nor can you get it from customer service. You cannot coordinate with delivery guy on phone the time slot when he would arrive at your given address. So a person has to be at home from 9AM to 7PM to get a delivery.
Delivery guy may not even give you a missed call if you are not a home. Say, you have gone for 5 minutes to purchase grocery. Your waiting at home has gone waste. I had to speak with customer service to reschedule the package(though customer service was excellent).
Important: It hides all'package/delivery feedback' whenever Amazon fulfilled. I could not find my reviews on amazon.in related to delivery. It says it is for self-improvement. For me, this is hiding information.
Suggestion: Avoid ordering from Amazon if you cannot be at delivery address from 9AM to 7PM.
After ordering from Amazon.in multiple times, I have changed my opinion. They are very good in delivery, sometimes even low cost books on next day of order to my surprise(In Bangalore). Whereas other online retailers take 5-6 days to deliver even mobile phones.
