I bought a product Ajanta Royal Classic photo frames, which didn't quite turn out as expected. We placed a return request for the same. However to our surprise we got a call from the seller reprimanding us for returning his product!


We returned it nevertheless without receiving any receipt for the same from the courier guy as is normal in our area.


In Nasik, the Amazon.in courier service does not provide any receipt when picking up items. One year later when I was checking through our orders I noticed the message as in the pic where it shows the product has not been picked up, let alone money refunded.


When I called Amazon.in they asked for the receipt number and I told them that Amazon.in does not provide any receipt number. So then I was told that in that case we have not returned the item. Amazon.in has stated that many of their courier partners do not necessarily give a receipt!


I also challenged Amazon.in to show me even one receipt they have given me since the past few months, but they said that I wasn't being co-operative with them! They then said they will never provide me with any documentation as that is their policy. I have to give them the receipt number(even they know they didn't give me a receipt number) if I want my refund.


This experience is to warn online shoppers that while returning items, if the return hasn't been confirmed by the pick up guy, that means he can take it for himself since in any case they don't provide any receipts.


I was shocked that the same helpline that asked me for a receipt is now boldly informing me that many of their courier partners may not necessarily issue a receipt. In this case how does a customer return an item, on what basis is there a proof of the return?!


I have also made numerous complaints about the fact that I do not receive any sms about product booking, delivery, return, but Amazon.in has done nothing about it.


To add to all this Amazon.in states that they will do nothing to resolve my concern, absolutely nothing. I asked them to check with the local courier office 2 minutes away from my house but they refused stating that they only hold information for 6 months.


Finally Amazon.in has told me to provide a receipt or else the complaint is closed.


Now I will have to pursue the matter in consumer court as usual, I'm sure Amazon will not dare carry out such malpractices abroad.


Has anyone noticed the thousands of fake review here for Amazon.in!?
