Amazon Warehouse Deals are where Amazon sell their returns and open box items at a discount.
The products are supposed to be quality checked and any issue stated on the listing. Amazon say "We thoroughly test the functional and physical condition of each item and give the product a specific grade before selling it."
I ordered a £400 computer monitor described as in Good condition, no marks but box damaged.
The monitor arrived and low and behold, it's faulty: one half of the screen has a faulty backlight so there is a big shadow in the corner.
Amazon have a fairly straight forward returns policy and collection was arranged quickly but my issue is with the quality checks they supposedly do. This product was clearly a faulty return and they just shipped it back out without testing it.
Now I have wasted my time, had to be home for the collection and have to wait for a refund which is annoying and could all have been avoided if they'd actually checked the monitor as they say they do.
