Purchased Lenovo 500S- 141SK through Amazon India(Retailer - Laptech solutions pvt ltd, Maharashtra) on October 9th 2016.
As per invoice(No. MH-SPNA-170574141-7479) the serial no of product was CLOKIJU7.
Lately the laptop started having multiple problems.
When I tried to register a complaint at Lenovo support on 01-10-2017 the warranty was shown as expired.
On checking the serial no on product to my utter disbelief it was found that it is R90HZFUX. When I tried to register with this serial no it was not accepted at lenovo support.
The next shocker was when I noticed that the date of manufacture of product delivered in October 2016 was shown as 15-11-2016 by the sticker behind the laptop.
The quality inspection certificate accompanied in the packet, showed the serial no of machine as R90HZFUX with date of inspection 15-11-2016
So I found myself stuck with a Rs 47990/- fake product manufactured and quality checked in November and invoiced/ delivered in October with 2 different serial nos on invoice and laptop.
I immediately raised the issue with Amazon on 1st October 2017 and also told them that as per invoice the warranty will expire on 9th October. I told them to take concrete action immediately to get it replaced with agenuine product. Thier customer care was contacted by me by phone. Even after 5 days no reply was forthcoming and on ringing up it was found that there is no progress.
Everyone pleaee note that such fake products are being sold thro Amazon and there is every chance of of you being left high and dry with costly fake products with no scope for redressal.
Update!(17-11-2017)
Its almost 1 and a half months since the above review and the problem has not been solved. The Amazon customer care is doing nothing other than sending consolation replies every time I remind them of the issue. There is no option to escalate the matter.
