Amazon as an E-Commerce portal has a very wide variety of products & vendors with it. But, somehow or the other while expanding their reach into everything( Fashion, Toys, Grocery, Books, EKindle) they forgot to take care of their Delivery module - the courier service.
Had ordered a HotWheels car for my son's birthday. The expected delivery date was 28th of July 2016(which was good for me as I needed it by 31st July). On 28th I never got a phone call from the courier agent mentioning that they will be attempting the delivery today neither did I get the package. Later got a message that delivery was attempted @10.22PM but I was not at home.
Frankly, speaking which courier company in India tries to delivery @10.22PM I am not sure. Same thing happened the next day and the next.
Had called the customer care regarding the same - the person was very polite asked me to give him a time of 6hours, then a time span of 48hours - But nothing happened in that time span. Later, realised he just wanted a good review for himself that is why he kept me on hooks and kept asking me to review the customer service.
In the end had to cancel the order & buy from a shop as now amazon had not left me with the liberty to book online.
For me Amazon.in is no more a choice for online shopping just because of their not so good courier / delivery. And is a big NO for those whose want their orders to reach for birthdays or anniversaries.
