I was introduced to Alpfly by a friend after he heard of the trouble I had to face while booking tickets from Delhi to Trivandrum, Kerala for his wedding. I am usually a flight traveler but last month while looking for flights to Trivandrum, Kerala to attend my friends wedding I saw that there was no direct flight tickets available. As he is one of the my dearest one, so I had to be there on the wedding day.
So, I thought booking a train would be a better option as it was an off season and I did not hope for any kind of rush but I was amazed to see how long the waiting list was. I knew that the ticket would cost somewhere around 2300 - 2500 so, I estimated the tatkal price to be somewhere around 2800 - 3000 but when I saw the price I was in for a shock. I had to pay 3800 for a 3 tier ticket. If that was not enough of trouble the train got delayed and instead and I reached Trivandrum late at evening which spoilt all my plans. It is a fact that long distance trains get delayed due to some or the other reason so, it is better to travel with enough time in hand but at emergency trains are not an appropriate choice.

I received my ticket confirmation and details 48 hours prior to my journey date. I was thrilled that they had booked me on a morning flight and it was a direct flight. It took me only 3 hours and 50 minutes to reach my destination. Whereas when I travelled through train the previous time I had to pay more and also had to face loss of time due to delay. Alpfly was a better experience that any other travel site as you do not have to pay every time you fly and you certainly do not have to spend hours on travel sites to find the best airfare or flight deal.
