Alok hotel is located very near to thane station and if come during evening from station, this place is always crowded. IT is specially know for the south indian dishes it serves. My favourite is Medu vada sambar and onion uttapam. The medu vada is really soft and literally melts in mouth. Chutney too is not very sweet and goes well with coconut chutney.
Whenever I am near Thane station and feel hungry I do visit here. They serve very fast and waiting time is not much. It has 3 sections. Outside is normally for people who want to east fast food/south indian. It has one lower section for people preferring meal. It also has an AC compartment and is quite big.
If you plan to go for lunch/dinner Mushroom butter masala with roti. Its delicious! I also like dal palak here. Something which is diiferent that I have tasted in other restaurants. for rice lovers, do try veg. handi biryani. The qauntity is good and sufficient for 2 people. Even paneer pulao is a good dish to taste. They also provide Jain food.
Well if you are interested in eating only ice cream they have special corner for icecream wherein you just pay money and have ice cream cone of your favourite flavor.
Price is very normal and not costly.
