Personally I dont see why foreign brand are being made such a big fuss about. IOf its lees, levis etc its ok but apparel stores like peter england, allen solly, are a sheer waste of time.
People are influenced by the adverts they see on TV, the message being if you are hep , go to Allen Solly or any other foreign store.
I remember being influenced by such ads and I decided that for my fiance, I would go to Allen Solly. So saturday evening I started off to brigade road,bangalore with all enthusiasm and happiness. My hopes were all dashed when I saw the deserted look in the store and attendants didnt at all seem helpful.
Forget that, I started checking out the shirts/trousers they ahd. And because my mind had been influenced by the colourful ad I had seen on TV(Allen Solly), I had a lot of high expectations.
As I looked at each apparel, I became dissappointed.My hope were dashed.I realized I could get the same clothes at any other store we have . so whats the big deal abt allen solly.
My one clear thought before a hasty exit was never to waste my time there and ads can be misleading.
Problem is most of are influenced by western things,we prefer them rather then our own.
