Allahabad Bank is one of the worst banks I have ever seen. They are cheating customers like me since years. The staff is lazy and unfriendly. The staff will never help you. They offer the lowest rates of interest and charge you highest rate on loans.
If you want to exchange your foreign currency with this bank they will offer you the lowest rate. If the market rate is 46 Rs. per US Dollar you will get 44 Rs. The working hours of the bank are quite less. They go on deducting money from your account for taking a chequebook, sign verification, if a cheque is dishonoured or if there are no transactions.
The other banks have no such charges. There is shortage of pay-in-slips, withdrawal slips all the times. This causes great inconvenience. I had ten accounts in this bank. I closed all of them.
So my advise to you is, never go to this bank.
