Happy Diwali to all! Here is a film well fitting to the mood of the festival. Dance, Music, Action, Car chase, fun & more fun.

I have to admit that I had my reservations while going for this Rohit Shetty film. Thankfully, this situational comedy doesn’t disappoint me like his earlier films.

This is a typical misrepresented identity creating comedy film. Veer Kapoor(Fardeen Khan) & Prem Chopra(Ajay Devgan) are close friends. Prem have a lot of ambitions but no money to fulfill the dreams. He want to make the fastest car but his only resource of an ill equipped gym run by his wife Jhanvi (Bipasha Basu) is not of much help. Veer is a helping person to everybody. To get extra pocket money, Veer told his brother in Africa, Dharam Kapoor (Sanjay Dutt) that he is married to Vidya (Mughta Godse). Even the increased pocket money, Rs. 100,000/- per month was not meeting the needs . Veer & Prem enters into a car racing competition, tempting the deaf and dumb local money lender (Johny Lever) to invest in them and fall further down in debt. In a desperate attempt, under Prem’s advice they decide to rent the house and collect advance. They were packing the things and then came the surprise call from Dharam Kapoor which lands in Goa on his trip to Far East. All arrangements are broken and the friends and their partners now need to meet the situation staying in the villa. Things get more complicated when Dharam misunderstood Jhanvi as Veer’s wife and promised a double increment in pocket money which the strugglers could not resist.

There is absolutely nothing new in the movie when it comes to novelty. However, it has everything to keep you smile throughout. You can complete an essay on the lack of logic in it or even can prepare a thesis and get PHD. A small fight between Veer & Vidya, was it a good reason for the friends to panic? Why the brother who sends a Lakh Rupees a month through a messenger doesn’t ask for a simple photo of his brother’s wife? Also a small airport like a Goa been a transit point between continents. Then what does it matter when we are ready to accept it all when going for the typical movies?

Sanjay Dutt, though enters after 45 minutes or so, still managed to take the lead easily. The actor is as good as he was in Dhamaal; Very good. Ajay Devgan looks fresh and rocks the role in style. Fardeen Khan manages to survive in between the two veterans though he didn’t manage to create any extra impression. Bipasha Basu did her role(s) well, though the role didn’t require any extra effort from her side. Mughta Godes is ok in the role but her continuous absence in many of the roles was noted. Johny Lever, Asrani and rest of the cast did their roles well.

Music of the film is very good. Normally, comedy films didn’t get much importance to music. Here, the songs made their presence felt. Choreography was very good. The title song of the film, ‘All the Best’ simply created an excellent impression from the beginning and rest of the songs followed the pattern. However, the choreography succeeded because of its large canvas than creativity. The choreographer failed to give heart to an emotional song in the film. The steps in the title song were not that difficult but much effective. The music department and choreography I will consider as a plus for the film.

Cinematography of the movie is very good. Except in the action scenes it was very bright and pleasant. For actions scenes the camera simply failed the scenes and the poor action direction doesn’t help either. Editing was good in most part.

The fun is really working and it is a good film one can watch with family. The fun though predictable is good and entertaining. The film has the potential to grow as a hit. Still, I am yet to digest the logic of releasing 3 big films in a day expecting success. This competition is definite to take a toll on all the releases, but I hope and wish that all of them come out with success. All the best!!!
