Thanks to my friend, got this chance to see this amazing movie at a film festival. Aligarh is directed by the very famous director of the movies Shahid and Citlylights which one him a national award too, so I HAD to watch it. Aligarh is based on true story of an AMU professor who is harassed for being gay and how sad his story gets in the movie. The movie breaks the typical indian stereotype and shows a struggle to live as an individual and how the society has a narrowed vision to ones life.
I must say Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkumar Rao, both have done a stellar performance and such a strong direction makes this movie unmissable.
I'd recommend everyone to go and watch it.
