I won't ever forget my Alcatel one touch easy.It was my very first mobile phone.And I must say it is a very good beginner's phone.Very simple to use.No confusing menus and no plethora of unnecessary functions that no one use.
The design of the phone cannot be termed as sleek but it was small and really cute.Plus it is available in a myriad of colours.But no interchangeable colour panels here!One colour and that's all you have.
The menu system of the phone is very simple.Separate keys for accessing the phonebook and the SMS function are really good touches.The scroll key on the side of the phone can be a pain to use at times but it does the job fine.
The phone has a lot of funky tunes from which to select the ringtone.And the phone is really loud.You could also go in for a vibrator but that is optional.
The phone's signal reception is really good.Better than many other phones.Really makes sense to use in India where cellular networks are still developing.The sound quality is also good.
This review cannot be complete without mentioning the battery.It charges fast-one hour flat to get fully charged and also retains charge for long.That's really useful.And in case you do run out of charge the rechargeable battery can be taken out and in place of them you can place 3 AAA alkaline batteries and use it.I think that's one feature not many others provide and will come in useful for those heavy users among you.
Last but not least it is one of the cheapest on the market about INR5500 from authorised dealers and about INR3800 in the grey market.Good for starters.And oh almost forgot this little wonder can be used as a speakerphone in its handsfree mode.Of course clarity is compromised but you don't need a handsfree kit to use it in your car.Cool ain't it!
