Once I discoverd that MS didhave a proviosn for reginaly Revs, I cant stop myself from writing abt my Fav Movie of all times.Since a lot has already been said in my TEv abt the movie let me straight get into the music -the enjoyable consort of this journey of 'alaipayuthey'-(the journey of the tides).
(1)Sadugudu-The amazingly cute humamble song sung by S.P Charan symbolises the man and his thoughts for his Wife at every stage of his everday life .The love,the affection,the care, the passion is all so evdent as he compares to everything from a child,to a mother and finally as his other half very beautifully written.
(2)Shehitanae- This SIng sung by Sadhna Sargan Symbolises how the woman in love wants her lover to be there with her throught out singing her a lullaby,holding her when she needs and how she wants her small wishes to be fulfilled by him.The vocals by Ustad Bismillah Khan saab adds the unusual flavor to it.
(3)Yaarodi-This is a typical south Tamilain wedding song with amazing beats and the usual Tamilan Village tunes in between .One of the cutest wedding songs heard in a long time.Sung with gusto by Mahalakshmi Iyer and Richa Sharma.
(4) Imban - Sadly I dont have much to say abt this song coz I feel Asha Bhonsle has jus repetaed herself with strains of Piya Tu n Dum Maro dum,with due respect to rahamn this song is not hatke jus the usual ,masal Item song with the sensual Sophiya Haque grooving in the video.
(5)Alaipayuthey-Ideally my joint Fav song,This is actually a Carnatic song composed by dikshitar in the praise of lord krishna , I have always sung thsi song bfore as part of Music lessons but never sung it with as much dedication and plaesaure as after rahman gave it his subtle instruments n great voices.
(6)Evano- this song symbolises the pain and grief of seperationthe heroine experriences when she is away from the hero.A very Melancholic and touching song .
(7)Pacchai Nirame- AAAh! was waiting for this song .This song could easily replace the oxford dictinary with one word for-brilliant,exceptional,outstanding,breathtaking,mindblowing etc etc.......The song sung in the silken voice of HariHaran leads u through a magical riot of colours each colour symbolising each phase of love and beauty of woman.The songs is written brilliantly By Vairamuthu and well wat is said abt the harmony and back up instruments man in all the most addictable song on atleast a decade.
on the whole,if U thought Saathiya was great,then wait till u hear 'Alaipayuthey'
