Al - Ameen – Trust Worthy Institute.My college days were the most challenging yet the most wonderful experiences I have. I experienced hardships, success, failures & mistakes. But along the way, I became mature – more mature in person.
Studying & staying in College isn’t easy as it looks. We all understand the importance of education. But there are some people might say that studying is a boring activity, well in fact, studying is the best way to nurture ourselves with experiences that others cannot just steal them away from us. I am blessed because I was able to enter an institution where I could enhance my skills and practice it inside and outside the boundaries of the College.
In the year 1994, silver jubilee year of our college ( Al Ameen Education society, Al Ameen was the title given to the Prophet Muhammed (SAW). It means 'The trustworthy' ), I was awarded meritorious student of the college. I joined MBA. I was the first student of Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies.
The Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies, a premier management institute of India, founded by Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, with the purpose of imparting quality education. The goal of the Management Institute is to inspire the youth to blossom into managers, planners, decision makers and leaders of tomorrow.
Al Ameen a nonprofit educational society was established in 1968 with a meager 54 students by the visionary founder, Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, the Al-Ameen group of Institutions now number around 150 in Karnataka and all over the country. Be it in education or health care, the Al-Ameen Education Society has mushroomed to cater to the society in big measure. The institute is under the affiliation of Bangalore University and the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
This is one of the first institutions that had shaped up to serve the needy with quality education. The Founder Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Khan’s intention was to eliminate unemployment to the maximum extent and thus introduce job-oriented courses. His emphasis was always on quality education and hence in 1994, Al Ameen Institute of Management Studies witnessed the introduction of highly acclaimed courses in Management Studies with new combinations that are apt for the industry.
This is a minority Muslim institution. The primary focus of this institution is the minority students who lag behind in educational opportunities. Though it is a minority institution, Al Ameen is very secular in outlook. Students of all castes, religions, creeds and languages are encouraged to be part of this Institute.
From 1994 Al Ameen Institute has scaled new heights. Buy the introduction of innovative and modern curriculum, insistence on academic discipline, imparting of Holistic Education and with the help of the creative and dedicated staff, Al Ameen College has been continually rated among the top five educational institutions of the city.
Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies has been listed among the top ten institutes in South India and has been ranked second amongst the institutes in Bangalore by AIMA in ”Business India“ magazine.
The institute has a large library with an exhaustive collection of books on various aspects of management and related subjects from all over the world. The library subscribes to many national and international journals. A wide range of CD’s, Video and Audio Cassettes are available for ready reference.
The management really cares for its students. Highly qualified and caring counselors speak to and advise students regularly on issues ranging from those concerned with education, job placements & sports.
Coming on to Sports, very few colleges can match Al-Ameen, which, over the years, has become a nursery for sports talent on the campus.From past twenty years Al Ameen is winning the Bangalore University Sports Championship.
