If you are in delhi, then akshardham temple is a must visit place, I recently visited there and my experience was very nice. Their is no entry ticket, and also no electronic things plus any baggage is allowed there so I will recommend my readers not to carry any camera or expensive mobile phones as nothinh is allowed in the temple, which I considered best thing as everyone is away from technology and enjoy time with each other.
The things like mobile phones are submitted before entry and they are perfectly secure. Now the temple is very big and very beautiful. I found the architecture very attractive, also everything was very clean and nice. Inside temple there are various shows that you can see but all are paid shows but are worth watching it.
I recommend my readers to must watch swaminarayan life journey movie, boat ride and also the water and laser show in evening. I loved everything there, and if you want to enjoy whole place then it will take whole day. The peace in the temple was the best thing, and when you don't have any technology you interact more with the people, and those come out to be the best one's. So anyone who wants to have a good peaceful time with family can visit this place.
Although I felt that this place is a one time visit as once you explore everything then it will become boring.
I buyed some food from there food counters and I didn't liked it, so for food I would say that quality is good but taste isn't.
So if I talk about reachability to the temple then metro is the best option, the akshardham metro is best and cheapest way to reach there with least walking distance.
