Well. after looking at the recent England series and T20 matches, I feel that the most important person behind the opponent's success over us is Agarkar. I am sure he must be receiving a lot of champagne bottles at the end of every match that India lost thanks to his consistence performance with the ball. He is so impeccable in line and length every time he manages to put similar kind of deliveries again and again. The way Pakistan managed to score 30 runs off last 2 overs and made a match of nothing could be contributed to Agarkar. He's been around for close to 10 years in the team and the very fact that he hasn't mastered the art of bowling a Yorker or not puttting boundary balls every 5th and 6th delivery of an over amazes me.
And he is such an idiot with the bat. He is supposed to have so much potential as per the powerful Mumbai lobby, I have never seen him contributing when the team needed it. The way he walks - putting the bat under his armpit only signifies the kind of meek character he is. None of our great thinkers of cricket - sunny, Ravi Shastri - never criticize this guy from Mumbai thanks to the support he enjoys from the board and selection committee. There are also conspiracy theories that Vengsarkar is pushing for a spot for Agarkar in every match and this pissed off Dravid who believes that Agarkar is not talented and hard-working enough to be in the Team India.
There is so much talent in India and I am sure the selectors can scout for better "allrounders" than this guy.
