Annoying SMSes

I have been using AirTel for a while now (prepaid).

I get SMS from AitTel guys at the rate of 2 per day (which I delete, though it is a pain) pertaining to they trying to ''sell'' their ringtones or jokes or something like that. Unfortunately there is no way of getting away (unsubscribing; though I don't really recall having subscribed to these SMSes!) from this. The Call Center chaps tell that they can not do anything.

Recently, when I had more time I though I will send them a reply SMS (bright idea?) asking them to stop sending these SMSes; but lo there is no reply phone number. So even this option ruled out.

I am not sure if there is a way of ''asking'' someone to stop sending these 'unwanted' SMSes? Well, I can delete them as they come ... but the point is I have become insensitive to SMSes that I found that the other day I missed seeing an SMS from from friend!

Hope someone who reads this posting will have an effective solution. Thanks.
