Ok I cant say I m a proud owner of airtel ,I wish I could but unfortunately he he he he........
I m a prepaid victim of airtel ,
I dont know how many of u are getting those calls asking for address verification but I have been getting some ,
now first of all this people call us without informing its customers before hand on this issue,
they can send thousands of sms daily advertising for hello tunes and their recharge plans ( and sometimes also use automated machines to call us and inform us about hello tunes) but they cannot send a sms to all their users to inform them about this so called address verification process ,
secondly, they call users from those numbers which look more like local numbers and u might find such numbers being used by ur friends and family or even others , so how the hell!!! do they think we'll know if its really an airtel staff member or not and what if the person is not from airtel then?? and specially if u have no idea about something and suddenly people call u and ask for ur personal details would u really give it out??
or I guess airtel cannot afford sending sms or making calls for important notices as all its resources get wasted on advertising for hello tunes and RC options
Thirdly , I dont know whether the airtel staff knows about it or not but they have their offices everywhere in the city ... but unfortunately may be they dont use them much so however out of sight is out of mind ....but couldnt they use it for this purpose , can't they inform their users to get their address verified at their nearest airtel office???? I guess they dont want to cause inconvienience to their users ( because they have already caused so much trouble lol) so they will continue with their mission to gather personal info on the phone only ...
and last but not the least ......Airtel Customer Service Executives or rather Airtel Customer Unreachable and Unaccesible Service Executives............now talking to them is an achievement in itself .....thats the reason u cannot reach them just by dialing 121 or 800 or 9849098490 or whatever.. u will first have to go through the various services they provide and then after playing with those number s u may reach them if u r lucky enough......this numbers some years ago were meant for talking to customer care executives ( and they really worked well in those days)but now I guess in order to save and reduce its marketing cost (for hello tunes) this numbers are primarily meant for educating the customers about various hello tunes and recharge options and value added services available ...
but I want to talk to the customer executive??
sorry dear these are OUR rules and YOU will have to follow them ....u can talk to customer care executives only if ur luck permits u ....we dont provide any options for speaking to a customer care executive directly... press1 to know about the sms received by you ...press 2 for tariff related information...press 3 for recharge options...press4 for value added services ...press 5 to know whats new with airtel
but what should I press to talk to the customer care executive???????
