After doing an in-depth research on which phone to buy I zeroed on Samsung X100 and I must say its a value for money.
Then for the service provider I decided to go for Airtel Mtv. The sim costs for Rs.149 compared to Airtel's magic pre-paid which costs Rs.99. As this Mtv card is not available in any retail shops I had to go their gallery. This is a 32k sim card and its targeted mainly the youths as for more SMS storage space and Phone book memory.
I didnt need to recharge my card for the first 15 days coz I got talktime of Rs.149 for free.
Some of its features are:
Group SMS: You can send messages to 5 people @ just Rs.2
Large Storage Space: As it is a 32k sim card it supports upto 30 message capacity and 250 phone book memory.
Happy Hours: This is the plus point of this card that between 10 pm to 7 am any calls made will be charged at 99 ps/min and every SMS at 50 ps. You can also get this feature during the day between 3-4 pm.
There are more stuff available under the extra menu of 'Airtel services'. It has ringtones, logos, messenger etc.
The major flaw of Airtel is their network. Their network always fluctuate. My network goes zero when I enter my living room.
But overall its service is quite good in Mumbai(I have always got my queries solved).
