My whole family was using airtel connections. Not anymore.My post paid connection since 2004 which I was paying about 2000/month has now been downgraded to a rs 99 plan just to maintain my number. Blackberry plan was canceled due to their pathetic down times and arrogant customer service. I was asked to submit the ID proof for a prepaid connection after using it for two years. I submitted it and all the services were fine and they acknowledged the receipt of the ID proof.
After a week the number was invalid. They said the number was recycled. After numerous calls with the nodal officer and CRM they told me to submit a request and ID proof, photos etc and they will try to get a duplicate sim. I told I do not want that favor.
I think they are having much more subscribers than they can accommodate. This results in poor customer service. Poor network with call drops and call fails.
There was a time when I used to recommend airtel...but not this time.
