I have taken a new prepaid connection from airtel on 2nd may 2009. along with it I have applied for night unlimited gprs scheme for paying an extra amount of 274/-. I was told that the gprs connection will be through within 48 hrs. on 4th morning at 12 30 hrs I rangup the customer care and asked about gprs connection. then they say that sundays are holidays for them and I may get the connection on tuesday only. On tuesday(yesterday) I called them three times. they say that being night unlimited it can be activated only at 12 midnight. they suggected me to call customer care at exactely 12 midnight so that they can mannually activate the same. this morning again at 3 am I woke up and called their customer care cell. the answer was the same sorry sir, we are wroking on that etc etc.
today 72 hrs passed and nothing happened. I told them to forget about the gprs connection and kindly adjust the amount in my call account. they say no.
now I understand, bsnl is much more fine than this airtel.
I really felt very bad. I ca=me to kerala for three weeks of vacation from arunachal pradesh. just to avoid roaming only I opted for this airtel decision for which I regret now.
