The leader and one of the major telecom service provider in india. They are into mobile network, DTH, internet service and mobile wallet service along with other VAS. However my review for now is restricted to their mobile service.
To begin with:
They are expensive
Their staff is rude.
No transparency in the account and monetary deductions from your account.
Annoying IVR everytime
They spam your inbox
So let’s begin now.
As mentioned earlier, they were and they still are one of the most expensive service providers in india. I do not subscribe to any of their packs which gives you the rates on a discounted price. Imagine almost paying 1rs per minute when you dial. You can only imagine how much your bill will be every month end it’s the prepaid story. With postpaid the bill what they send doesn’t make sense, which has happened to me couple of times and I’ve got it corrected after calling them. So yes they bill you for things which you’ve not used.
When you call their customer service, they are rude, ignorant and clueless. They begin with some general statements saying this and that. When you are not ready to hang up and ask for clarification and want to talk to the manager, the manager won’t be there around most of the time(try this) and after making you wait on hold for 15-20 minutes they pass from one person to another and the entire experience is so daunting and exhausting.
They just deduct the money from your account and bill you for things which you’re not aware of, I’ve only managed to get refund once on prepaid and got the bill corrected and reduced my total price twice with postpaid.
Their IVR, your internet expires tomorrow, press 1 for this and that, press this to activate that. too much, annoying their customer that is next level and your sms inbox don’t even ask, it will be filled with nonsense even after registering your number to DND.
To conclude, the premium what you pay for the Airtel service, is not worth it.
