Airtel has grown so big that it cannot support its customers anymore. Isn't it ridiculous that you need to try at least 5 - 8 times before you could get through the call you are trying to make? The network connectivity is so pathetic - of course, they try to see if they can pass the blame back to you by checking on your handset. The next is call drops! phew! I feel lucky when I can complete a call without it being dropped. Imagine, if the call drops every 10 seconds the amount of money you and I end up spending is huge and UNNECESSARY. If you are on a call that can be completed within 60 seconds flat, and the calls drop at every 10 seconds, you obviously will make a new call where each call is treated as a fresh call and charged - I am sure you get the picture. At times I wonder if Airtel does this deliberately to increase their revenue - maybe true.


Worse is when you are talking to your clients and business partners you look like an idiot apologising all through because your call dropped. I have nightmares when I have to get on a con call with customers and associates outside the country. I have to make sure that I am close to a land line and do my business. The icing on the cake - you are talking to customer support and the call drops - you have to spend 5 minutes before you get through and there you are talking to a new agent and tell your story all over from scratch. There have been instances where I had to talk to 5 guys and tell my story over and over. I am so well versed with it and dont be suprised if it sounds like a well rehearsed script. Their emails are even worse - you get an automated response indicating that a representative will get back to you within 48 hours and nothing happens at all. This is the same even talking to the representatives.48 hours keep passing and no one turns up to help you out. Once they even blamed the power crisis in karnataka for call drops - wow! Airtel should have known that Karnataka has had power crisis all through its existence which was even before Airtel started their operations.


I can go on ranting endlessly and I know for sure its not going to help. The worse part is that you dont have a choice because, Spice is as good as it does not exist, Vodafone never got it right and Airtel's the only option - so we are stuck with it. DAMN!
