I'm using Airtel for the last 4yrs. Since I m into sales and mktg, my contact no. is one which I cant live without. 4yrs back when I was still studying, I changed my sim from hutch (now Vodafone) to Airtel just because one of our family friends were Airtel dealer. I used a prepaid service for nearly one and a half yr. If I remember correctly, I had a problem just once. There was no network for 3 days. When they corrected it, they also credited 50 bucks to my account. 50 rs more currency in the cell n that too when I was in college...wow!!!
Later on I converted the same no. to post paid. N my travelling became intense. Bangalore, Mangalore, Shimoga, Hassan, Chikmagalore, Coorg....infact entire Western Ghats, there is network all over. My colleagues used to sleep while travelling..but I was always busy attending calls. That’s when I got a tag 'Harsh Online'. Of course some times it was irritating...i am a person who doesn’t want to miss any chance...:)
And, I really like Airtel ads. Not everyone can understand them. They grew strategically...initially they focused only on market penetration, then on network, VAS now they are fulltu into brand building with a touch of Indian sentiments. Don’t know which agency works for them, but the ads are just too good. Even though there is a unified jingle, there is a terrific connection between the video and the music….
Guys, I don’t know how is the service in ur region but I am for it. I just fell in love with the brand.
