I am a Reliance postpaid CDMA customer for last 6 years. Never had any issue. Decided to move on to GSM for using my new 3G smartphone.
Chose Airtel because it is providing 3G in my area. Called up airtel, they promptly sent rep collected all the documents. He said it would take about 10 days(people say MNP takes about 7 days).
I did not mind and waited for 12 days, then I called the rep who informed that my company ID card did not have the employee number and that data was required for corporate connection. I told him the employee number. Then I got busy with my life and did not call him till 10 more days.
Then one fine day tried calling him again, no response this time. Then again called him after 2 days, he picks up and says that the MNP request code has expired and we need to send the SMS again. I only told him that now I am not interested in Airtel.
He says OK, no problem. It was really irritating dealing with Airtel. If they were missing some data they should have called me I would have provided. Not even a single time I received a call from them on the status of my application.
If they cannot do any effort to get a new customer. What will they do to retain existing customer. Surely no service can be expected from them.
